Donna Ward for US Congress, New Jersey District 2Including all of Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem Counties as well as parts of Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties.
From the Goucester County Times, June 4, 2008: "I did get my message out," Ward said. "I've got quite a Rolodex of contacts. My husband and I spent a lot of time educating people about the economy, and we'll continue to do that." From the Atlantic City Press, June 4, 2008: Ward on Tuesday thanked the people who supported her. She said she will not endorse LoBiondo in November. "None of the above. I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils," she said. She said she ran knowing that county committees had already endorsed LoBiondo. "I don't understand why we have a primary if the incumbents don't have a challenger. To me it's a huge waste of money," Ward said. "In campaigning, I was very, very surprised at how disgusted people are with the candidates they have to choose from. They're disgusted with the parties telling them who to vote for." Donna Ward is running for the Republican nomination for Candidate for US Congress, New Jersey District 2. These are critical times for this country. The economy is in an unprecedented state of turmoil, and the outlook is dismal. People are losing their jobs, their homes and their savings. Businesses are reporting drops in sales and many are going into bankruptcy. Prices are soaring on everyday purchases such as gasoline and wheat. Our best and brightest are being put at risk; injured, maimed and killed in a very unpopular war. Our civil liberties are being taken away at an alarming rate in the interest of an ill-defined "war on terror". While it is easy to blame the President, or the Democrats and Republicans, a full share of the blame must fall at the feet of Congress. In the last Congressional elections voters across the country voted for new members of Congress. The change didn't go far enough, and in too many cases replaced one career politician with another. Fortunately, there is a nation-wide movement of concerned citizens who are willing to tempt the long odds of running for office without the backing of the old-time party bosses or the big-time corporate donors. Donna Ward is one of these, and South Jersey is lucky to have such a candidate. Donna is running for Congress as a "Constitutional Republican". It's a very simple concept. Any bill coming before Congress must comply with all of the provisions of the Constitution of the United States of America. Take the challenge. Read through the Bill of Rights below and see if you recognize any of our rights that have recently been lost or seriously infringed upon in direct violation of the Constitution. A link to the complete text of the Constitution is provided below for your further reference. "I decided at the very last minute, last Saturday," she said Wednesday. Ward said she decided to run for Congress after the Federal Reserve bailed out Bear Stearns this year with a $29 billion investment package. Critics said the deal forces U.S. taxpayers to assume the debt's risk. "I've been watching the Federal Reserve print money out of thin air. I don't understand why Congress doesn't do anything," she said. The Press of Atlantic City April 10. 2008 "Politicians don't look at people. They look over them, they look around them, they look through them. They don't listen." Donna Ward "Preventive war was an invention of Hitler. Frankly, I would not even listen to anyone seriously that came and talked about such a thing."Dwight D. Eisenhower "The refusal of King George III to allow the colonies to operate an honest money system, which freed the ordinary man from the clutches of the money manipulators, was probably the prime cause of the Revolution" Benjamin Franklin
